The mainstream media is deliberately not covering these mass events, but we at TNT are committed to actually covering reality, so we will cover these events.
While this downturn in attendees is unsurprising considering the cold weather, some protest organizers have expressed disappointment that few Torontonians/Ontarians appear concerned at the erasure of their freedoms to show up to protest, and they may indeed be correct to be concerned about this lacklustre turnout, considering governments around the world appear to be taking away more freedoms as time goes on.
Whatever you believe: whether you believe in the specific protest, whether you think protesting generally has any effect on the larger direction of politics, or whether you don’t personally enjoy protests and want to stay away for that reason, the fact is that almost all the legacy media doesn’t want to touch the anti-lockdown protests with a 10 foot pole and some of these events are massive.
“They’re not going to listen to the people, we know that already. We’ve always got to stand up and take action in any creative way we can because otherwise, we’re going to lose all our freedoms,” Rose expanded.
In case you weren’t aware, the leadership review vote for Erin O’Toole following the Conservative Party’s recent underperformance at the polls has already taken place. Were you aware this had happened? It seems that the fly-by-night nature of the vote has kept many Conservative Party members unaware of what is going on.
That left only Belinda Karahalios as the lone MPP of the New Blue Party to raise public awareness and have constituents lobby their MPPs to shut down the bill. While the election still isn’t over; Trudeau and the Liberals are definitely having a bad campaign and it was a mistake to call an election now. So let’s be realistic; it is a real possibility O’Toole and the Conservatives could win the election, but the current polling shows that victory would be by the skin of his teeth.
It isn’t just the PPC brand that is attracting voters. The trend is wherever the PPC is seen making inroads happens to be where the candidates themselves have been engaged with the local community and laying the framework for the party, and PPC candidate Brian Everaert running in Sarnia-Lambton might just be the prime example of this phenomenon.
Last week’s U.S. Presidential debate was full of memorable and informative moments, but if you didn’t watch to the end you may have missed the moment Democrat Presidential candidate Joe Biden gave a damning answer on the American oil & gas industry.
You’d expect the Greens to be fully in favour of an expensive and broad carbon tax, but early this year they’re showing more common sense than the other parties. It is absolutely true farmers were hit badly by the carbon tax last year, but it begs the question: why are the Greens looking sharper on this issue than the Liberals and NDP?
