Conservative Party of Canada leader Erin O’Toole is attempting to remove Hasting-Addington and Lennox MP and former CPC leadership candidate Derek Sloan from the party caucus after the publication of a smear article from Press Progress.
Albertans may not have confidence in Trudeau ever doing something altruistic for them, but if Trudeau is going to attempt to regain his Liberal majority this spring in a potential election gambit he can’t have an issue like the scrapping of the Keystone XL pipeline get in his way.

It is quite telling of the state of the CBC that they can be putting employees through pseudo-scientific unconscious bias training and starting up anonymous tip lines to report supposed rampant racism, but at the same time supposedly the executives at the top of the CBC cannot see there may be a left-wing bias to their reporting.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford has removed MPP Roman Baber from the Progressive Conservative party caucus for opposing his new round of strict lockdowns that have effectively shut down all restaurants and “non-essential” businesses.
So far the answer seems to be a definite no unless the polls start to radically shift towards the Conservatives, or the polls are wrong in a significant way. Trudeau seems to be posed to win at least his minority government position back, which may not do much for his popularity as it would have felt like a waste of time.
The decision comes likely due to fear that the CBC, or other left-wing media, and his political opponents would accuse O’Toole of racism, sexism, and white supremacy, if he gave Rebel News an interview, as the Left in Canada, has continually smeared the news outlet as being guilty of such.
The Liberal MPs are overtly trying to seize onto American political controversy and hyper-partisan Democrat talking points in order to smear Conservatives in Canada, which no doubt is damaging open discourse in the country when politicians begin to find thin excuses such as these to attack one another.
