In September 2019, a Quebec Superior Court judge struck down a restriction that limited assisted suicide to ill patients. Responding to a constitutional challenge filed by Jean Truchon and Nicole Gladu, two Québécois with spastic cerebral palsy and paralysis respectively, Justice Christine Baudouin ruled that “…denying them access to assisted dying because they are not terminally ill is forcing them to endure harsh physical and psychological suffering.”
The level of misinformation surrounding firearms and firearms ownership in Canada is increasing. Far too often our discourse on this topic is littered with stats and commentary aligned to conditions in the United States and not Canada. As a result, many Canadians, and many Canadian politicians, have inaccurate understandings of Canadian firearms laws. I’d like to […]
As much as we hear talk of how ‘safe’ and ‘environmentally friendly’ nuclear power is, if you dig with any depth into that claim you see how no regular, sane person really believes that. Case and point, we recently saw the withdrawal of an application by the Ontario Power Generation company for a long-pursued construction […]

The Finance Minister confirmed that the Liberals are running a deficit of $343.2 billion this year, and for the first time the net federal debt will reach over $1 trillion this year. Unlike in previous years, the government refused to […]
There have been two major incidents of antisemitism and not a single politician from any political party has done more than the absolute bare minimum (asking an intern to make a Twitter statement), and even said statements took days and weeks to ring out. All the while, municipal mayors clamour for eliminating racism but sideline anti-semitism.
