What is it like to be a Canadian firearms owner?

“It’s a great hobby. A lot of people are becoming interested now too. I do a lot of new shooting courses for new shooters that don’t have their license. By the time I’m done with them, they’re like ‘Oh yeah, I’m going to sign up’ and then most of them call me up and say ‘Hey, I got my license. I got a gun. Let’s go shooting!’”

National Conservative Caucus Chair is concerned by Media Licensing

While the CRTC does not regulate online media, the Heritage minister’s comments in a CTV interview two weeks ago failed to differentiate amongst which media outlets he would request to obtain a license. On Monday, February 1st, he clarified his statement, stating, “We are committed to a free and independent press, which is essential to our democracy.” While Minister Guilbeault claimed said licencing did not include independent content creators, the National Conservative Caucus Chair Tom Kmiec, amongst others from the Official Opposition, found him misleading at best.

Black History Month isn’t about partisanship, but something that can bring us together

Black people have been existing and contributing to this great land since pre-confederation, yet we don’t know a lot of their stories. From John Ware to Eleanor Collins, to Lincoln Alexander, to the all-black battalion in Word War 1 – we have so many stories of black history to tell. I look forward to seeing these stories become more known through Black History Month.

Fort McMurray MP says Ottawa will fuel Wexit movement if Teck is killed

With the petition e-2341 calling for the Liberals to debate their proposed gun legislation and various bans ticking closer to 160,000 signatures, it seems that the gun lobby organizations like the National Firearms Association (NFA) have already won the debate.

Saskatchewan stands with Alberta and Ontario against Liberal gun laws
