What makes Singh’s neutral rating worse than Trudeau’s is Singh is in a position where it should be very easy to be popular. All he should be doing is attacking the Liberal government and trying to browbeat them into passing legislation he wants in exchange for providing NDP votes for Liberal legislation
The good thing to come out of the O’Toole era of the Conservative Party is that the current CPC leader, Pierre Poilievre, has seemed to have learned the right lessons. Polievre has taken a strong stand in favour of firearms rights while also expanding the image of what responsible gun ownership looks like.
Yes clearly Canadians are not upset about the out-of-control inflation, Liberal Party corruption, and restrictions on firearm ownership and free speech the federal government is pursuing, every Canadian not selecting the Liberals in phone polls suddenly just became big old racists.
Although it has been said many times before and has been wrong, right now it does genuinely feel like Canadians are becoming tired of Justin Trudeau and the Liberals governing Canada. Trudeau had his ups and downs in the polls before the 2019 and 2021 elections, but for several months now it has seemed like the Liberals are only ever down, outside of a few outlier polls.
Canadians have been heavily propagandized by both the Canadian legacy media as well as left-leaning American media. Canadians are told to disdain anything or anyone labeled as “extreme” or “far-right” without asking questions regarding evidence; it just so happens that even asking genuine questions about the media’s narrative is also an “extreme” behaviour.
Well…although it may be a good idea in theory for the Liberals to find a better leader to face off against Poilievre than Trudeau, the trouble comes when actually trying to find a viable alternative.
The Conservative Party of Canada, especially their leader Pierre Poilievre was quiet heading into the Mississauga—Lakeshore by-election yesterday. Poilievre only released social media posts encouraging Conservative voters to head to the polls on the day of the election, the same day he also apparently was sending out emails asking CPC members to help pay off […]
Since Carlton MP Pierre Poilievre was elected as the new Conservative Party leader the CPC has taken a significant lead over the Liberals in polling, but it is the Liberals’ polling specifically that demonstrates why Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s days in office may be numbered.
Pierre didn’t follow in O’Toole’s footsteps and actually appointed both of his leadership race competitors who are currently serving Conservative MPs, that being Dr. Leslyn Lewis and Scott Aitchison into the Shadow Cabinet.
A new set of polls came out from Mainstreet Research, regarding both insights into the dynamics of the next federal election, as well as Canadians’ attitudes about such things as the taxpayer funding of the CBC.
