Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is rumoured to be planning to resign in the next couple of weeks and may accept a job at The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). An Independent Journalist known as The Pleb Reporter on Twitter said he had received multiple sources in government telling him that Freeland […]
Although what McKenna and the Liberal government did on that public works program demonstrated their utter lack of competence, and raises issues around further financial impropriety due to the lack of accountability, on an ethical level this still pales in comparison to what our current Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland just did in late 2022.
Apparently, Freeland is establishing a new corporation out of nowhere in order to manage this new massive sum of money, but no Act exists that would lay out the duties and limitations of such a corporation. This is very different from what the Bill stated, which would give the Canadian public the impression Freeland was purchasing shares in an already established green tech investment firm for the Canadian government.
The real story is not that another high-ranking Liberal has been found guilty of a serious ethical, borderline criminal, violation. It is that Mary Ng feels no need to resign and Justin Trudeau does not feel like he needs to save the Liberal brand by removing her. Even the Toronto Star’s editorial board has called for the minister to resign.
The Conservative Party of Canada, especially their leader Pierre Poilievre was quiet heading into the Mississauga—Lakeshore by-election yesterday. Poilievre only released social media posts encouraging Conservative voters to head to the polls on the day of the election, the same day he also apparently was sending out emails asking CPC members to help pay off […]
On December 6th, 2022, Independent MP Kevin Vuong put forth a scathing criticism of the Liberal government on the issue of foreign interference. After receiving the customary concern-sounding word salad, Vuong pushed for an answer asking if the Liberal government would continue to be a permanent doormat for the Iranian and Chinese governments.
At this event, a pro-Palestinian media activist with a long history of pushing anti-Israel and antisemitic rhetoric, as well as blatant Holocaust denial was in attendance and was seemingly never removed.
Yesterday during Question Period, Independent Member of Parliament for Spadina-Fort York Kevin Vuong went after his former colleagues in the government for their lax stance on Canadians being harassed by the hostile foriegn governments of countries used to reside in.
Immigration has been a touchy issue in Canada for the past couple of decades. People who take issue with the number of immigrants coming to Canada were automatically labeled as being “fringe” or “extreme” by the media and political establishments, but in spite of this Canadians are still becoming far more skeptical about immigration.
Most Canadians view the federal Green Party as a mostly single-issue party based on wanting to remold the economy into something the environmentalist lobby envisions, but strangely enough that had also always come along with conspiratorial anti-Israel and anti-semitic views as well.
