Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservative government are once again attempting to extend Bill 195, the ironically named “Reopening Ontario Act,” tomorrow through Motion 8 so 195 will expire on March 28, 2022, rather than December 1, 2021.
In one of the most startling disconnects between the Alberta government and AHS fearmongering and reality, despite Red Deer Regional Hospital being said to be over 100 percent of normal capacity, there seems to be little evidence inside the hospital of a massive surge in patients.
Whatever you believe: whether you believe in the specific protest, whether you think protesting generally has any effect on the larger direction of politics, or whether you don’t personally enjoy protests and want to stay away for that reason, the fact is that almost all the legacy media doesn’t want to touch the anti-lockdown protests with a 10 foot pole and some of these events are massive.

Last weekend, former PC MPP Randy Hillier announced he is currently attempting to form his own provincial political party, despite the successful registration in early 2021 of Jim and Belinda Karahalios’s New Blue Party of Ontario as a right-of-centre alternative to Doug Ford’s Ontario PC Party.
Evan Solomon will likely not be called out by major news networks for his ridiculous reasoning that COVID is worse than polio because he is part of the elite media world where he gets to pretend that he is an objective truth-tellers, despite his often laughable perspectives.
Just a few days ago it was noted by skeptics of AHS’ performance during the pandemic that they are now reducing ICU capacity, in spite of the need for more capacity to catch up on the backlog of delayed surgeries.
This is a wake-up call to Eastern Canadians. They have to decide whether they are really enviro-radicals who wish to significantly lower their standards of living and simply have oil and gas production shift overseas, or if they will recognize that a modern economy needs cheap and efficient energy to operate.
