Rupa Subramanya deserves all the recognition she is getting for completely upending the Liberal’s narrative on the travel restrictions and mandates, it takes untouchably good quality reporting to make the political establishment this upset, without the ability to speak a word against it.
All signs point to it being the smart political move (as well as ethical move) for the Liberals to dump the ArriveCan app rather than simply keeping it in place and defending it out of a stubborn sense of pride.
It should not be a surprise that so many socialist countries (like China) and world leaders are leading the charge toward the adoption of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). By definition, a socialist wants to socialize the economy around the state, and one great way of doing that is having the central bank take over the backend of your citizens’ bank accounts.
Smith doesn’t appear to be in favour of CBDCs per se, but she seems to not see the prospect of having the central bank control Canadian bank accounts as a particularly pressing issue, or at least not one she would fight back against.

Poilievre is by no means perfect from a conservative perspective, but the left these days has nothing to offer to counter Poilievre, so they are just going to try fearmongering tactics to try and overcome a Conservative Party led by Poilievre in the next election.
Right now all signs are pointing to an autumn divorce for Justin and Jagmeet who might not be able to make it a full year as a couple, but at least they made it longer than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries.
So far the leadership race has mostly circled around issues of Alberta sovereignty, the personal autonomy of Albertans, and getting the economy back on track, but nobody had yet to talk about a clear plan to actually cut the out-of-control spending by the Alberta government, nobody except for Todd Loewen.
