Leslyn Lewis: New immigrants angered by immigration loopholes

Dr. Lewis: “New immigrant communities overwhelmingly agree that the proper immigration channels, as outlined by the country itself, need to be followed. Many of them gave up everything to come to this country for a better life for themselves and their children. They sacrificed a lot and spent years waiting for their chance at a new start. When they see people breaking the rules and putting a strain on our infrastructures, such as our health care, housing and welfare system, some worked two to three jobs and never had the benefit that those jumping the queue are getting. And that’s causing a lot of resentment amongst immigrant communities.”

Iranian-Canadians loath the Iranian Regime, says local advocate

Parseyan: “It is almost impossible to articulate the pain they must feel every day. Many of them are channelling their frustrations for answers. Our Prime Minister spoke well during this tragedy and showed support for the community, but I believe the words have yet to see action – which does not and should not include bowing to Iran’s Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif,  the well-spoken spin doctor of Iran’s regime. I feel terrible for the families because they have yet to hear answers. Does Iran claim that an instructor-level operator behind the missile defence system somehow mistook a commercial aircraft just outside of Iran’s busiest international airport for a 4-meter cruise missile? Not likely, and this story has much more to develop. We know this, Iran knows this, and the black box and the illegally confiscated cell phones of the crash victims could shed light on this.”

Calvin Helin: ‘Eco-Colonization’ is hurting First Nation Resource Development

Helin: “As I said, the movement is equally ideological: the institutions that make up Big Green want to push socialism as a solution to ‘saving the planet.’ They [Big Green] don’t stand for debate, and they will never seek to engage in dialogue with detractors. This is what makes them so dangerous. “
