In a surprising, though welcome multi-partisan display, 12 Canadian MPs called on the Iraqi Ambassador for a stay on the execution of Khaled Shamo Sarhan, 17. Premised on false accusations, Sarhan, a Yazidi boy, was set for execution on February 28th, 2020, for the killing of Faris Mohammed on August 3rd, 2017, despite being some 300 kilometres from the scene of the crime the day of.
During those years, I raised this issue several times in American, Arabic, Israeli and Persian media. I said that while I understand Israel’s need to respond to the threats of the Islamist regime, I believe Israel should speak to the Iranian people and tell them that the bitterness and hatred stirred by the Islamist regime, between Iran and Israel, has nothing to do with the people of Iran. It should be communicated that Israel is a friend of the Iranian people, just as the Iranian people are generally friends with Israel.

The objective of the Muslim Brotherhood as lofty as it sounds is to create a global caliphate.
Many of us in the West are unaware of the harsh religious persecution faced by Christians today. The widespread disenfranchisement faced by Christianity’s adherents has been relegated in the hierarchy of importance, thus becoming a topic that is seldom discussed. For this reason, the fact that Christians are the world’s most discriminated against and targeted religious community has gone entirely unnoticed.
Some communists in the West will ignore the gross human rights violations of the CPI in Kerala, pointing to the strong economy in Kerala compared to other Indian states. This ignores the fact that Kerala’s economy currently hangs on by a thread. Remittances fuel it from Keralites working in the Persian Gulf, which constitutes 31% of the economy.

The Washington Post has done it again. Previously, they referred to the former ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as an “austere religious scholar” in a headline reporting his death. Like Soleimani, he died from a coordinated U.S. military strike.
It is being reported by Al Mayadeen news that Qasem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Quds Force, has been killed in a recent U.S. airstrike. The Quds Force is the foreign arm of Iran Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) and a listed terrorist entity in the U.S.
