If you wanted an example showing that Canada’s progressive left does not want to end vaccine segregation any time soon, the City of Toronto recently released, and then was pressured into deleting, a video implying that unvaccinated children should not go outside to play.
Today, The Democracy Fund (TDF) put out a press release, stating that they have filed a notice of application against Western University on behalf of all students who refuse to comply with the booster mandate. TDF is doing this in conjunction with lawyers Lisa Bildy of Libertas Law, assisted by Bruce Pardy of Rights Probe.
The constant refrain from politicians in Canada is that we need to better fund our provincial healthcare systems in order to fix the inefficiencies. Almost everyone in government measures healthcare quality by the budget of the public system, despite wait times in most provinces trending upwards over time.
New Blue Party of Ontario MPP, Belinda Karahalios (MPP for Cambridge), despite being the only MPP for her party in the Ontario provincial Legislature got the Ontario PC Party to reverse course on voting to pass the NDP’s Bill 67, which was seeking to inject Critical Race Theory into the classroom.
Kronas has started a petition demanding that Bill 67 be voted down, the radical sex-ed and gender theory curriculum the PC government failed to dismantle be finally scrapped, and for merit and equality of opportunity to be valued in the education system instead of equity (ie. equality of outcome).
Yesterday the Ontario Provincial Legislature passed a motion unanimously to allow the Speaker of the legislative assembly to bar Independent MPP Randy Hillier from entering the chamber due to “continued disreputable conduct.”
You can tell Ford appeared to be somewhat shaken up at this press event; aware of the tough political position he has put himself and the PC Party in by backing Trudeau’s demonization of Freedom Convoy supporters over the past few weeks.
It seems like Doug Ford is acting as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s attack dog against the Freedom Convoy after Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson weakened against the convoy and called for the federal government to engage in negotiations with the convoy organizers.
The Ontario PC government has just announced that Attorney General Doug Downey has brought an application to the Superior Court of Justice which has effectively frozen all donations made to the Freedom Convoy 2022 organization on GiveSendGo.
Peaceful assembly, protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, suggests countless people gathered shoulder-to-shoulder at the base of a government building. This is sometimes the case, but more often it’s just smaller groups of concerned citizens coming together wherever it makes sense at the moment. This includes businesses, busy intersections, and, as is the case lately, the homes of key decision-making politicians.
