On Friday, January 13th, 2023 a group of Iranian Canadian activists stood outside in the cold at Chrystia Freeland’s constituent office in Toronto, to protest the inaction of the Liberal party on their Iran policy. In particular, their failure to follow through on their promise to list the IRGC as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under the criminal code of Canada.
On Saturday, January 7th, Arad’s father Mehrzad Zarei organized a memorial to his son and the other victims of PS752 at Elgin Mills cemetery. The memorial also honoured Iranians who have been recently executed by the Regime and those in prison for supporting the revolution.
To re-enter a new deal with the Islamic Republic would be a horrible betrayal of the people in Iran fighting the regime on the streets, the families in Lebanon blown up in the Hezbollah Beirut explosion, Israelis under Islamic Republic rocket fire, Yemenis hoping for peace, the victims of PS752 and all others who value humans rights around the globe.
