“Canada should be a country where some provinces are not favoured over others. Alberta needs a federal government that will fight for jobs in Alberta with the same passion it does in every region of Canada. But whether its pipelines, energy workers, or equalization this Liberal Prime Minister has shown time and again that he won’t stand up for Alberta.”
On Monday, June 29th, the United Conservative Party of Alberta launched its Recovery Plan with a commitment by the premier to “implement sector-specific strategies to drive diversification, including in agriculture and forestry, tourism, technology and innovation, aviation, finance and financial technology, and creative industries.”
The bloating of labour costs is also not only restricted to municipalities, as even the province’s own labour costs have climbed 12.7 percent in spite of most private sector workers experiencing decreasing compensation or even job losses.
Under a banner of unity, “Today’s merger is a clear indication that we’ve passed the tipping point with this movement,” says Flett. “After 105 years, Albertans finally have a voice with the Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta. Change is coming and every Albertans will be so much better for it.” According to sources from within party ranks, over 75 per cent of FCP membership and 96.1 per cent from Wexit supported the merger.
As it turns out, premier Kenney is married. He’s married to the politics of a small band of elites that believe they know best how to control the lives of the masses. They call themselves “patriots, ” yet, fail to defend and exercise provincial/federal powers as defined in sections 91 and 92 of the Constitution?
I was born a Canadian, and I wish to save a Canada that includes an equal and prosperous Alberta. I sincerely wish to build a reformed Canada that treats all of its people equally and fairly. In fact, this is another opportunity for Albertans to lead the way, for by finding equality and fairness for ourselves, we can create the framework for others to find the same. Ultimately, this will help to build a stronger, freer, prosperous, and more united Canada. But if this is not possible, the majority of my constituents in Cypress-Medicine Hat and from across Alberta have made clear that we must seek another relationship, as a sovereign people.
“We as a society have dropped the ball on how we treat our most elderly in the years they look after themselves with social support mechanisms that ensure they are safe and secure. That has continued during COVID, and it’s not unique to Alberta or B.C., or who the owner was to those facilities.”
