Yesterday outside of Calgary’s City Hall the members of Street Church were preparing for an all too familiar fight against the will of the city’s public officials. The leader of Street Church, Artur Pawlowski, has been providing the necessities of life for the most vulnerable in Calgary for over 21 years. During this time […]
If Notley truly believes in forcing businesses to go bankrupt or fining people $1,000 for simply inviting someone over to their own home or even $100,000 if it goes to the courts, or not making the police arrest a bar owner 400 kilometers away from the edge of civilization for not wearing a mask, has become the definition of “libertarian extremism,” her politics must be left of Mao Zedong.
It would not be a shock if the more liberal people in leadership positions within the UCP, like Moore, because of friendly relations with many Liberal party MPs and party officials, do not want to be too harsh towards the federal government’s anti-Western policy.

Representing 2,000 municipalities across Canada, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has rightfully been considered one of the most important lobby groups in the nation. However, recent years have seen the FCM pivot to advocating for urban interests (think Toronto) with programs such as re-establishing COVID-19 measures and other environmentally friendly energy projects that benefit […]
“In the northern communities alone, it’s north of 90% unemployment. People desperately want work and to be able to have some meaning in their lives, be able to have opportunities for their families. In a perverse way, these environmental groups are stealing those opportunities from Indigenous people.”
