Back on July 14 in Hamilton, activists working for the pro-life advocacy organization the Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) were out demonstrating in Jackson Square when they were accosted by a male passerby for voicing their opposition to abortion.
The man approached them and pointed at either his own phone screen or the pro-life demonstrator’s signs showing aborted babies while yelling “this is my son, that is my son!” (as well as expletives) apparently trying to agitate the CLC demonstrators by proudly taking ownership over the idea that one or more of his unborn children were aborted.
After the man begins to walk away from the woman filming, Josie Luetke (who is the youth coordinator for the CLC), until he notices her with the camera out and proceeds to threaten her for documenting his heinous statements, shouting, “Chick with the camera, if you put it in my face again I’ll put a bullet in your head.”
At this point, the man then storms back over to Josie after she says “Sir you cannot say that,” in response to his violent threat, and assaults her by underhand slapping the camera out of her hands which potentially damaged it, seeing as the audio becomes barely audible after the camera hits the pavement.
The confrontation ends there, but the whole situation demonstrates the incredibly rude and aggressive manner in which people believe it is acceptable to act toward pro-life demonstrators.
It is also telling that seemingly nobody walking by seems to stand up for the young women being accosted and physically attacked by that unhinged man, as if people are uncomfortable with even associating with those who stand up for life, due to the cultural stigmatization of being publicly pro-life in Canada.
For a personal example, at my former university (Mount Royal University) it was common for left-wing activists connected to the student union to physical surround and even push pro-life demonstrators showing signs of what aborted babies look like, and would only stop if I or someone else filmed what the campus leftists were doing. The university administration never dissuaded the harassment of the demonstrators and had even once been forced to apologize by court order for the assault, and wrongful detainment, of a pro-life demonstrator by campus security.
The fact that the assault and violent threats against Josie Luetke won’t be talked about on any legacy media platform shows the level of pro-abortion bias there is in Canadian media. You can bet if even half of what happened to Josie happened to a “pro-choice” activist the media would be all over it and would turn a person who was only verbally attacked into a progressive hero.

I recommend that pro-life demonstrators coordinate a filming crew at all of their demonstrations. I think there are many who prefer to stay away from either pro-choice or pro-life demonstration. Canadians on the whole are very passive and even if pro-lifers were right on with what they’re protesting many stay away and not get involved. We all know that in the end the Lord God has the last word and there will be many abortionists, pro-choicers and abusers who will need to pay for their choice. May God have mercy on them.
God will have mercy on them, choice or life, because God is pro-nothing and pro-everything. He is omni-pro.
Has this pos been arrested for uttering death threats and assault? Where’s CTV, CBS crap news or CP24 garbage news? Shameful!
personally i think that people should stay out of other peoples bedrooms, everyone has an opinion on this subject and everyone has the right to their own opinions. maybe we should stop trying to force our beliefs on those who don’t share them. I happen to be pro life and my views on the subject are mine, right or wrong, they are my opinions and I am entitled to them just as you are entitled to yours. this whats wrong with the world today.
What a goof…physical violence like this should never be tolerated…where’s the authorities ??
