The National Telegraph has just gotten word from a source inside the Ottawa Police that one of their staff sergeants has resigned from his position today, likely over a disagreement with the city’s policing philosophy towards the Freedom convoy.
This is a major development for the Ottawa police as senior NCOs are the core of any police force and enforcing anything without their leadership is extremely difficult.
The source also said that there are unusually high rates of uniformed officers taking stress leave, vacation days, and sick days.
This is another indicator that people inside the police force are not happy with the directions they are receiving from their political leaders.
The situation is still developing, stay tuned for updates.

Today, I am once again discussed by what I have read or watched on CTV news Ottawa.
I am a decorated disabled veteran and was angered by CTV’s news video on "veterans" standing against the Freedom Convoy.
For 2 weeks now, I have followed CTV coverage on the Freedom Convoy and am beyond upset at the biased and one sided news stories that are being reported.
The veteran in your video does NOT represent all veterans. In fact, I and several veterans that I know, support an end to covid mandates, QR codes, vaccine passports and other needless rules that discriminate, divide and infringe on our rights and freedoms.
Sadly, it took the Freedom Convoy along with support from around the world to bring awareness to outdated mandates.
I am sickened by CTV News supporting certain politicians while making core Freedom Convoy organizers and their supporters out to be violent thugs.
News should be unbiased and stories should be covered from multiple angles reflecting different views.
I never believed in "fake news" or political support through media until being bombarded with one sided and biased news reports from CTV Ottawa with regards to this Freedom Convoy.

well my daughter’s bf was downtown, he’s first nations and was taken from his family at a young age. Put in the foster care system and having a hell of a time with his status card etc… anyhow, he was downtown drinking an energy drink and the cops stopped him for no good reason holding onto their guns in their holster. The kid is now petrified… thanks ottawa police… this was a kid that is taking psychology at the UofO hoping to be a cop one day, not anymore… not after what he just saw. A historical event just took place today in Ottawa. Real people standing for truth and freedoms. You can watch it on Randy Hillier’s facebook page. Doctors, lawyers, Clergy, Truckers, Scientists and Maxine Bernier and Randy Hillier. I cheered and shed a tear. This movement has given hope to Canadians and the world as was evidenced by the comments from participants.
I don’t blame the cops leaving but they shouldn’t have to. They signed up to fight crime, not peaceful protesters, and should never be asked to work against their own conscience.
Most officers will resign from their position because the are compromising with the law and Human Rights.

If you believe in the convoy or you don’t, is not the question people need to be asking at this moment. The protest leaders have asked since day one to speak to their leaders, but instead the people in power flex on TV and complain of the violence, racial activities, and on and on. Threats of moving the protesters with force, removing their source of heat and so on is simply a ploy to get a reaction from the group, and at some time it will. This has to be avoided, or the persons demanding the group to back down will be saying see, told you they were violent.
