Perhaps in the case of Trudeau, his recent cabinet member appointee MPP Omar Alghabra, the only cabinet member in Canadian history who was previously denied entry into the United States due to terrorism concerns, is the strategic Islamist whispering in Trudeau’s ear. Who is whispering in the ears of the rest of our political class?
CNN was riding high during the presidency of Donald Trump, and many at the time had predicted that he was the only subject keeping their viewership ratings up, and since the end of Trump’s presidency, the CNN ratings have plummeted to be a mere fraction of what they used to be.
Canada’s cases currently stand at around 2500 cases per day, whereas they sat at around 3000 cases per day in April, prior to the decision by the Ford government to bring in the stay-at-home orders. The lockdown has now been extended by 2 weeks to end on June 2nd, but how much faith we can have in this new end date? One need only look back at this past year.
Albertans love a good convoy, and on Saturday it was time to send Premier Jason Kenney a message: end the lockdowns and restore freedom. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
Kenney is not Ralph Klein, to say the least, but it would still be better for Kenney to leave on a relatively high note before he is no longer seen in the memory of Albertans as the man who reunited Albertans against the Trudeau-Notley alliance for submission to the Laurentians. It’s time to read the writing on the wall, pass the torch, and resign.
Now many UCP MLAs, especially those from rural and small-town Alberta, are feeling the heat and a Caucus rebellion is bubbling to the surface. Yesterday, some MLAs have seen enough and are openly calling for Jason Kenney to resign.
Late last night MLA Todd Loewen and United Conservative Party caucus chair released a letter to Premier Jason Kenney declaring that not only did he feel he could no longer carry on as caucus chair as he had lost confidence in the leadership of Kenney.
The point being is that most mainstream coverage of the incidents as one-sided with Israel getting the raw end of the deal and with little or no context. The news stories portray a victimized Muslim/Palestinian community during the last important days of Ramadan (the holiest month of the Islamic calendar) being attacked indiscriminately by ‘wicked’ Israelis. As a result, all over the Muslim world, Muslims are in a hysterical frenzy posting on media, social media, writing, and exposing the ‘evil’.
Angus somehow pushed the slanderous rhetoric to a new height going on to agree with Mayor Nenshi on Twitter saying that opposing mandatory masking orders, “is white racist extremism using the biggest medical crisis in a century to build a hate movement,” which is a laughably paranoid conspiracy theory at best, but more likely just malicious political rhetoric meant to spread hate against Canadians who disagree with him.
Since this time, Dr. Modry has become one of Kenney’s loudest critics as things have gone from bad to worse with the Alberta government shutting down businesses, churches and now even arresting those who won’t obey the constitutionally dubious Alberta Covid-19 restrictions.
