Orange Tory Brian Jean Is Not What The UCP Needs To Get Back On Track

Jean is not seeking to be the next Ralph Klein and tackle the Alberta government’s spending problem. Instead Jean is an Orange Tory wanting to push the UCP to the left, likely because he believes it will bring electoral success, instead of pursuing conservative reforms that the UCP base wants.

It Is Not Enough To End Vaccine Mandates, They Must Be Banned

To both restrain governmental power and to try and repair our society from what felt like a two-year-long social experiment, it is vital that the use of vaccine mandates be banned in the future. Civil liberties and civil cohesion are more important than medical bureaucrats’ opinions on what people should do with their own bodies.

The Myth Of Red-Tory Mass Appeal

As history has shown, when Conservatives have a leader who proudly promotes conservative ideas in a clear and positive way, they win. When they put up a Brown/Charest as the leader who spends more time attacking their base based on fictional polls, they lose.

The Next Conservative Leader Needs To Serve The Base, Not The Media

One issue that always plagues Conservative Party leadership races in the past has been the candidates’ lack of courage to take hard stances on issues. Every candidate with a significant chance of winning is always hedging on their positions or promising the liberal legacy media that they will not take stands on ‘controversial’ issues.

Canada Weaponized The Justice System Against Tamara Lich

However, even if Tamara beats all the charges against her this is still a travesty of justice and an abuse of the court process.  This is the Canadian government engaging in lawfare, where the process is the punishment. If Tamara is cleared of all charges she still has to spend probably over a year dealing with the legal harassment from the crown, character assassination from the media, and all the things that come with it.

British Columbia Won’t Drop Restrictions Despite Low Hospitalizations – What’s Going On?

Sadly for BC residents, they are living in a province that seems to be keeping in place COVID-19 restrictions, and in some cases preventing people from working due to being unvaccinated, in order to make a cheap political point.

The Freedom Convoy Put Justin Trudeau’s Popularity in Permanent Decline

Trudeau’s approval rating falling in the wake of the Freedom Convoy and Emergencies Act debacle seems to indicated Canadians believe his aggressive rhetoric, use of police resources against the protesters, and freezing of their bank accounts, constitutes a scandal. And this scandal looks like it actually may do permanent damage to Trudeau and the Liberal Party.

Jagmeet Singh And The NDP Are The Biggest Losers Of The Emergencies Act Debacle

The NDP is fundamentally, or should fundamentally be a left-leaning workers’ party. In theory, its base should be a combination of idealistic left-wing university-educated urbanites, as well as public and private sector union workers. Under the leadership of Jagmeet Singh, the NDP has deepened its support in the first category but lost out on the second one. Failing to stand up for the rights of the truckers probably permanently damaged that blue-collar support.
