Calgary-Falconridge NDP Candidate Is An Open Khalistani

The Alberta NDP candidate rematching UCP MLA Devinder Toor in the riding of Calgary-Falconridge appears to be an open Khalistani by just observing his old Facebook account.

Parmeet Singh Boparai has made several posts overly in favour of radical Sikh separatism in the Indian region of Punjab. The Khalistan movement seeks to establish a theocratic Sikh government in Punjab called “Khalistan,” and either rule over or expel the Hindu, Muslim, and Christian minority groups.

Boparia at one point on his Facebook page before saying he was “Going to deactivate my account” posted a Youtube link that reads “Sant Bhindranwale Declaring Khalistan.”

This video was posted by a Youtube channel titled “Sikh Revolution” and the video displays a montage of photos, including orthodox Sikh men carrying AK-47s and RPGs.

Boparia has also shared posts from other pages like the “June 84 Movement” which is a pro-Khalistani Facebook page with the 84 Movement reference in its title in regard to the 1984 insurgency campaign waged by Sikh separatists an anti-separatist military operation by the Indian military (Operation Blue Star) and deadly anti-sikh riots that took place across India after the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her Sikh bodyguards.

Despite this, the title of the “June 84 movement” is meant to brush aside all the radical Sikh separatist violence that had taken place before June of 1984 and frame all Khalitani attacks afterward as being retaliations and not just part of a cycle of violence. This is evident by the fact that after the 1984 anti-Sikh riots much of the retaliation from the Khalistani side was still targeted towards killing Hindu civilians.

And a reminder that the “84 movement” was a movement that led to the Air India Bombing (1985) that killed 329 people (mostly Canadians) on a flight between Montreal to London. It was a bombing conducted by Canadian Khalistani supporters.

Parmeet Singh Boparia has also posted in support of hunger strikes and protests to get Khalistanis out of prison in Punjab, one of which was convicted of murdering the Chief Minister of Punjab in 1995 (who was himself a Sikh man).

In 2014 Boparia also made a post that was fundraising for a charity operating in Gaza. The post itself tries to draw a moral equivalence between Gaza, a territory controlled by the terrorist group Hamas, and the state of Israel. The charity, Human Appeal, is banned in the State of Israel for working with terrorist groups, and the CIA listed Human Appeal as a front group for Hamas in a 1996 report.

It should go without saying at this point that Parmeet Singh Boparia is not exactly a unifying figure in Alberta. His strange support for the Khalistani movement and willingness to promote anti-Israel charities operating in Gaza also doesn’t speak well of his judgment.

Alberta NDP leader Rachel Notley needs to speak out and condemn extremism in her own party, seeing as we have other NDP candidates calling Alberta racist while looking up to anti-semites, attacking the police, and even taking part in Communist Party marches.

This Khalistani nonsense is now just the cherry on top. And for anyone who thinks that this can be ignored for “cultural reasons,” this would basically be the equivalent of a Catholic candidate favoring violent Catholic separatism in Northern Ireland and seeing the IRA as the good guys.

Naturalized Canadians who serve vested interests of their country of origin, such as this Indian Khalistani terrorist apologists, should not be allowed to run in Canadian politics.
Canada should not allow vested interests individual to gain power and clout in first world politics to serve interest of their ideology in India. This only diminishes Canada.

PS: you cannot call me racist because I’m brown. I equally despise UCP labour law violator, several times fined, Payless to his employee liquor owner Devinder Toor.
    Low standards .. yuk!!!
