Leslyn Lewis Pushes Back On CBC Host Attacking Her For Being Against WHO Propaganda

MP for Haldimand—Norfolk and prospective Conservative Party leadership candidate Dr. Leslyn Lewis was recently interviewed on the CBC’s ‘Power & Politics’ which quickly turned into an anti-conservative ambush on Lewis for criticizing the World Health Organization.

Power & Politics host Vassy Kapelos seized on a moment in the interview when Dr. Lewis spoke about her opposition to Canada signing onto a WHO worldwide pandemic strategy plan to attack her character.

Kapelos strongly insinuated that Dr. Lewis is taking a fringe position and that believing signing onto a WHO pandemic strategy plan helps to undermine the sovereignty of Canada is somehow just a “theory” related to a “conspiracy.”

Below is a video clip of the exchange on Power & Politics

Dr. Lewis rightfully points out that it is perfectly rational to see the Canadian government allowing an international organization like the WHO to shape its policy as something that undermines our sovereignty. Even if Canada gets input on WHO policy the WHO still takes input from every other officially recognized country on the planet, especially large donors like the People’s Republic of China and other non-governmental organizations and charities.

Simply put, the less a country’s government does its own research and planning internally the more its ability to operate becomes reliant on third parties outside of the nation’s borders.

Kapelos was essentially trying to argue that just because someone is on welfare does not mean they are becoming dependent on the government, because technically just stop taking welfare, when clearly that is easier said than done when people become accustomed to the assistance. Kapelos is simply attacking Dr. Lewis for not buying into an international organization’s propaganda about themselves.

This attack on Dr. Lewis exposed the CBC once again for relying on far-left sources to attack a Conservative. It was only a few days ago that the far-left publication Press Progress wrote a hit-piece on Dr. Lewis for being against the WHO and taking issue with their heavily-funding by politically-motivated organizations like The Gates Foundation.

(Independent journalist Andy Lee did a great take-down of Press Progress’ ridiculous attack in a Twitter thread, which the start of is embedded below.)

It was good to see Dr. Lewis hold her ground against the legacy media and push back while also retaining the softly-spoken demeanor she is known for. She definitely made a splash by fully rejecting the premise of Vassy Kapelos while not being over-combative in her explanation of why the narrative Kapelos was trying to push was d flawed.

Hopefully, this will give Dr. Leslyn Lewis some sustained attention during the leadership race. Pierre Poilievre and Jean Charest seem to be getting the majority of the attention right now, but Dr. Lewis definitely has something significant to contribute to the leadership of the Conservative Party, and just proved it on the CBC.

Absolutely agree. Time somebody stood up to the CBC, paid for by the Government and no longer has a brain of its own. Good for Dr. Lewis, she certainly has my vote, and trust that the majority of Conservatives will wake up and support her. She has no fear of standing for the truth, and for what is right. Sadly that cannot be said for the other two running for the leadership.

So far Dr. Lewis appears to be one of the few politicians with common sense. I wish her well in her efforts to win the Conservative leadership race.

A charlatan with dubious science but found an audience with some loser with a blog that is scientifically illiterate

I have listened to several of her interviews. I find Leslyn has a good common sense approach to all issues on which she has been quizzed. I it good that these interviewers are showing their biases. By having to calmly answer the interviewers badgering; Leslyn is showing that she is more than adequately skilled to play hockey with anyone, at any time.

Readers will have to realize that interviewer and host, Vassy Kapelos, like Justin Trudeau is not sold on the value of a true democracy being better than some alternatives. "My experience in South America taught me that this (is) not the case everywhere; that, in fact, our repulsion of dictatorships is actually not universal,” she says. “I know that sounds completely counterintuitive, and I’m not saying it’s justified, but the outcomes of democracy have not always resulted in a high level of economic prosperity, for example. For me it’ll be interesting to hear about if democracy is on edge, A) what does that mean? B) what is the potential impact of that?” Source: https://tinyurl.com/5kb35kbb

If democracy is on edge why does Vassy Kapelos wish to push it over a cliff, by giving up sovereignty? Dr. Leslyn Lewis is the patriot.
