In spite of all the media and political establishment’s attempts to discredit and smear the Freedom Convoy, the movement is making substantial gains in terms of popularity among Canadians, while Trudeau has actually been facing a collapse in public confidence in him.
First off, it has been difficult to get an accurate reading of what Canadians think of the Freedom Convoy due in large part to poorly written polling questions. Often the questions are suggesting the answer to respondents like the one below from Maru that, despite no evidence to the assertion, asks respondents whether or not the convoy is heavily funded by foreign interests.

This is a worthless poll question as it is polling Canadians based on a false premise and people answering the poll will be led to believe the premise is true simply because they were asked about it. Polling is sensitive, pollsters should know better than to ask questions like that.
Most polling companies in Canada have always had an issue with oversampling liberal Canadians so that should influence the way people interpret polling results.
The two most neutral Maru poll questions that give the most insight into the Canadian public’s view of the protests are the two shown below.

The first question indicates that regardless of whether or not Canadians believe in the anti-mandate message of the convoy 47 percent of Canadians believe they are peaceful protesters in spite of the negative legacy media propaganda.
The second question shows that 44 percent of Canadians support the convoy truckers, which is up from polls last week that said only 36 percent supported them. The caveat that 24 percent of supporters don’t support the way the protests are taking place is immaterial seeing as the majority of Canadians now seem to blame Trudeau for the protests.
Only 16 percent of respondents in the Maru poll said that the way Justin Trudeau has handled the protests makes them want to vote for him, with 63 percent saying they would not want to vote for him for the same reason, and 21 percent remaining unsure.
Further cementing the fact that Canadians blame Trudeau’s rhetoric and policies for the ongoing protests, 44 percent of respondents say Trudeau inflamed the situation with 38 percent disagreeing and 18 percent being unsure.
The fact that the truckers’ support is as strong as it is with the focused media smear campaign against them claiming they are “racist” “misogynistic” “extreme” with no evidence shows the propaganda is failing. You can probably bet that those who support the truckers are far more sure about their beliefs on this issue than those who are against them.
Justin Trudeau needs to be careful if he wants to remain Prime Minister. Three members of the Liberal Party have already defected from the pro-mandate position and his aggressive stance against the truckers is only becoming less popular with voters over time.

It is actually the Provincial Premiers who enacted this mandate nonsense & very few seem to realize that. All eyes are now on Trudeau as the "head bogey – man " but he has come out heavily in support of the mandates claiming that the science supports this. Untrue actually! Then Trudeau has " left the old broken record on with the usual from him calling everybody "Racists, white supremicists, extremists & NAZI supporters. DISASTEROUS RHETORIC! BUT I WOULD NOT WRITE TRUDEAU OFF JUST YET! HE HAS VERY WEALTHY & POWERFUL FRIENDS IN GEORGE SCHWARTZ( ALIAS SOROS) & MUSLIM MULTI MILLIONAIRES AS WELL AS THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY!
Yes, the provincial premiers have been involved in the shut-downs, but the federal govt. is up to their eyeballs in these mandates too. Trudeau has had everyone looking to his Public Health minister Dr. Tam for decisions. Truckers needing vax passports to cross the borders – a federal decision. Canadians needing vax passports to travel – by air, ship or rail = all federal. Canadians being told to avoid travel – federal. And of course, the federal govt. bought enough vaxes for 10 shots per Canadian! That’s our money and Trudeau’s profit as a huge investor.
