Trudeau Implementing The Emergencies Act Proves He’s Out Of Control

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has quite decisively proven he has lost control as a leader by implementing the Emergencies Act. Not because protesters have become too much for Trudeau to handle, the protesters have been absolutely peaceful; Trudeau has simply lost control of himself.

The Emergencies Act (a modern version of the War Measures Act) allows the federal government cabinet to make “take special temporary measures that may not be appropriate in normal times” to deal with an “urgent and critical situation.”

Trudeau and his Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland have taken this to mean they should

be allowed to broaden the scope of current federal money laundering and terrorism financing rules to cover crowdfunding platforms and payment services. This also will include cryptocurrencies.

The Emergencies Act powers may also allow the federal government to force tow truck companies to provide services when the government requests them to tow away vehicles around Parliament or at blockades around the country.

To clarify once again, Trudeau and members of his government believe it is appropriate to give themselves the power to suspend Canadians civil liberties in response to ongoing peaceful protests that after nearly three weeks have not resulted in any violence.

Trudeau is either knowingly acting like a dictator, or he has become a madman, but regardless of which one he needs to be stopped by his own party or a coalition of opposition parties in Parliament.

Any implementation of the Emergencies Act must be ratified by Parliament within a week of coming into force, and that is Canada’s best chance of ending this nightmare Trudeau and his close political allies have forced the country into.

Three Liberal MPs have already stood up to him and declared they do not agree with the harsh stance their government has taken on mandates and other restrictions. It is said there are around another 30 Liberal MPs in strong opposition to Trudeau’s refusal to bend to protesters’ demands, and that was before he implemented the Emergencies Act.

The Liberal MPs must take a stand for the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and vote to kill Trudaeu’s power grab, and then force him to resign as the Liberal Party leader.

It would be a great act of unification for the Liberals to join with MPs from all other parties to draw a line in the sand when it comes to the use of unrestrained power from the Prime Minister’s Officer. It has been far too long since MPs actually acted in the interests of their constituents but right now would be a fantastic time to go back to doing that.

The best thing for average Canadians, and especially supporters of the Freedom Convoy, to do is to not give in. They have done nothing deserving of Justin Trudeau’s unhinged behaviour so they should not feel the need to move an inch away from Parliament. If anything even more people need to head down to Ottawa to show that peaceful Canadians will not be silenced by Trudeau’s illiberal tactics.

Trudeau has not even spoken to the people to try to end this so how & why would he think this should happen. Also can I point out that these protests have proven that all the mandates are not required as there has not been a outbreak of Covid or new variants since the protests have begone. Actually number continue to drop. Protesting seems to be the cure for Covid.
