Hypochondriacs Can No Longer Be Allowed To Control Society

Canadian society is increasingly being run for the benefit of the most sensitive. Hate speech laws are being proposed in Parliament, the government is trying to control all Canadian media outlets, and people’s freedoms are being heavily curbed in the name of “public health.”

The public health front in particular is where the majority of Canadians are noticing the overbearing control of the government over their lives. It feels like Canada is being increasingly run by hypochondriacs who are unable to gauge the level of risk posed to them by common viruses and germs.

There are still millions of people in Canada who truly believe that the mask they reuse daily is protecting them from the Omicron variant of COVID-19 despite masks barely helping prevent the spread of Alpha, and Omicron is said to be 70 times more infection than even Delta.

This is the same group of people who, despite the rest of the world going back to normal, continue to set their hair on fire over the issue of cases even though the rate of hospitalizations and deaths across Canada are minimal in comparison.

The delineation between people who died “of COVID” and simple “with COVID” has never been made in Canada so even now our increased deaths and hospitalizations could very well be explained by Omicron being incredibly common.

Canada’s COVID hypochondriacs do not want to have a discussion on what the data on COVID-19 actually shows, because many of them consider it dangerous in and of itself to believe this pandemic has become endemic. 

The media especially do not want these discussions taking place. Outlets like the Toronto Star were even writing frankly bigoted articles about being friends with unvaccinated people.

As annoying as those who refuse to let Canada to get back to normal can be, one has to sympathize with them as they themselves are victims of the media propagandizing people to believe the “experts” they platform. Sadly a lot of these COVID paranoid people are genuinely scared of normal.

These COVID hypochondriacs require is a healthy dose of reality, and thankfully the Freedom Convoy 2022 has been helping to highlight that COVID as an issue is fully political and has very little to do with healthcare at this point.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau cannot answer what measures or vaccination rate will let Canada return to normal because he doesn’t want to get back to normal. The metrics that matter to him and the Liberal Party are the polling numbers and the ability to use COVID as a club against their political enemies. 

Fundamentally a society cannot function catering to the sensibilities of the most anxious. Not only has this destroyed social life and the economy in Canada over the past two years, but it has only incentivized more public health paranoia.

People don’t live simply to avoid getting sick. More people need to understand that. 

We need to reverse this by daring to live normally and help lure out those who become accustomed to the “new normal” and show them why the old normal was healthier for the all-around health of society.
