Via Michael Kimelman at Sovereign Sunday Substack To My Canadian Friends, I write to you today not as a rival from south of the border, but as a neighbor who’s watched your great nation with admiration, envy, and now, growing concern. We’ve shared borders, battles, and barbecues for generations. Our histories are intertwined like the […]
Reflections on the Passing of Scott Adams On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, just hours before a flight to Colombia, I went live on stream to share my thoughts on the passing of Scott Adams. Though it was a moment many of us had braced ourselves for, the reality still landed heavily. Scott was 68, and […]
The Trucker Protest was “No Threat To National Security.” The Federal Court of Appeal has determined that the Liberal government improperly and illegally invoked the Emergencies Act (Canada’s equivalent to martial law) to disperse the convoy demonstrations in downtown Ottawa in February 2022. This ruling, issued on Friday, rejected the federal government’s challenge to a […]
Much of what Rouleau relied on to come to the conclusion that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal cabinet were justified in using the Emergencies Act was pure speculation of what ‘could have happened.’ No actual violence broke out at the Freedom Convoy protest, but Rouleau tries to dismiss this nagging little fact.
The report released by the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC) headed up by former Supreme Court Justice Paul Rouleau declared that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act to clear the trucker protest in Ottawa last year was “appropriate.”
It’s rather obvious that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lied multiple times during his testimony in front of the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC) last Friday, but what seems almost more important than Trudeau’s untruth, is his contempt for average Canadians that oozes off of him.
Ministers Bill Blair and Marco Mendicino’s testimonies will not play well with the public, and they are not setting up their boss, Justin Trudeau, very well when he has to testify at the commission.
Effectively Patrick King, Jeremy MacKenzie, and Trudeau’s Liberals are inadvertent partners in crime as King and MacKenzie sought to get attention from wading into the convoy and the Liberals want them to suck up all the attention from the Freedom Convoy in order to smear all the peaceful Canadians who attended the Ottawa protest.
In text messages released during the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC), it was revealed that there was coordination between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office and Liberal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino to smear the Freedom Convoy.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford may have proudly said he “stood shoulder to shoulder” with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a recent press conference, in response to a question about Trudeau’s use of the Emergencies Act, while the Public Order Emergency Commission (POEC) was beginning its inquiry, but now he is less than reluctant to testify.
