Activism does not have a place in our local institutions, the civil service, healthcare, or schooling. It should not be allowed, it cripples the effectiveness and moral character of anything it touches.
[Smith] already indicated that someone like Butler is part of the “big tent party” she wants to lead, which should make UCP members question what the party will look like if someone who is “obviously a strong federal Liberal” will be perfectly comfortable inside a United Conservative Party led by Smith.
The Democracy Fund (TDF), which back on August 9, 2022, pressured Crown prosecutors to drop some of the first charges against a Freedom Convoy 2022 supporter, has now filed a lawsuit against the Federal Ministry of Health, (led by Liberal MP Jean-Yves Duclos), challenging the requirements for Canadians to use the ArriveCAN app.
Rupa Subramanya deserves all the recognition she is getting for completely upending the Liberal’s narrative on the travel restrictions and mandates, it takes untouchably good quality reporting to make the political establishment this upset, without the ability to speak a word against it.
All signs point to it being the smart political move (as well as ethical move) for the Liberals to dump the ArriveCan app rather than simply keeping it in place and defending it out of a stubborn sense of pride.
It should not be a surprise that so many socialist countries (like China) and world leaders are leading the charge toward the adoption of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). By definition, a socialist wants to socialize the economy around the state, and one great way of doing that is having the central bank take over the backend of your citizens’ bank accounts.
Smith doesn’t appear to be in favour of CBDCs per se, but she seems to not see the prospect of having the central bank control Canadian bank accounts as a particularly pressing issue, or at least not one she would fight back against.
Prior Russo-Ukrainian War (2014 to present) which is devastating to that nation, the tiny landlocked Moldova was the leading candidate for the most backward country in Europe. Situated between Romania and Ukraine, chief among Moldova’s issues is the unresolved ‘Transnistria war,’ and Russia’s stance on that issue.
According to The Democracy Fund (TDF), a supporter of the Freedom Convoy 2022, who they had their legal team representing in court, has had the charges against them stayed by the Crown prosecution.
No doubt this new “green” energy initiative will become yet another boondoggle propped up with heavy government funding and yet will still be viewed by the Liberals and legacy media as some sort of “win” for Canada and the environment.
