Trudeau’s Polling Has Slumped Hard, And He Blames Canadians For Being “Racist”

Written By Wyatt Claypool, Posted on January 21, 2023

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has for an entire year now been experiencing net-negative approval polling numbers, and since Pierre Poilievre became the Conservative Party leader, the Liberal Party’s polling numbers have also fallen into a ditch.

It’s bad news for the “natural governing party” when your leader has a disapproval rating in the high 40s to low 50s (with an approval rating in the low 30s) and the party’s electoral success is increasingly relying on the incompetence of NDP leader Jagmeet Singh than actually beating the Conservatives. Right now it actually looks like the Liberals may barely outpace the NDP in an election, and that’s not surprising seeing as the Liberals are not addressing the key concerns of Canadians.

The problem for the Liberals is every one of their plans has made the issues of the day worse. Canadians are very concerned about issues involving the economy and healthcare, but all the Liberal’s solutions involve massive spending, which may make them popular in the extreme short term and create disaster in the medium to long-term, due to inflation.

The Liberal Party is becoming the party for idealists who mostly vote to socially signal. You can’t pretend to be voting for the Liberals because of their ideas after we have seen the poor results of their ideas for 8 years now. This is why the Liberals are only polling decently in parts of Canada that are the most extreme in terms of social liberalism, like Montreal and Toronto.

The Conservatives are absolutely clobbering the Liberals in new polls, but Justin Trudeau and those running the Liberal Party are just attempting to ignore the problems.

Pierre Poilievre recently put out a viral video mocking Trudeau now trying to imply his massive unpopularity has to do with “racism” and intolerance among the Canadian population.

Yes clearly Canadians are not upset about the out-of-control inflation, Liberal Party corruption, and restrictions on firearm ownership and free speech the federal government is pursuing, every Canadian not selecting the Liberals in phone polls suddenly just became big old racists.

I don’t even think Trudeau believes what he is saying. I think Trudeau is more in-touch than he seems but his massive ego prevents him from ever admitting to making a mistake or acknowledging those who oppose him as being motivated by anything except hatred and ignorance.

What we are likely to see next election is a far more overtly snarky and angry Justin Trudeau who in flailing to keep his position as prime minister will start personally attacking any Canadians who refuse to vote for him. I think this actually may be good for the country, Canadians need to get a better look at what Trudeau and the Liberal Party have become, and come to realize they are the real radicals and extremists they are constantly fearmongering about.

He won’t be able to campaign in public without crowds showing up to protest him. I also wouldn’t want to be a Liberal door knocker. Imagine the push back those people will get and thr anxiety they would feel before each door opens.

How dare you call me a racist Justin Trudeau, I never once dressed up with Blackface. Never fired a woman for not agreeing to an ethics violation. Never divided Canadians into two classes, one I agree with and one I denigrate and name call because they disagree…

Japan and Germany both came here looking for a LNG deal. We turned away two potential customers for an ideological position that is untenable. As a business model, not selling a customer a product they want/need is a good way to go out of business.
    Congrats Liberals!

    Hello/Bonjour;
    .
I am a Gendrish Canadian, likely the first in the country. Gendrish is a new language that I recently made up. It is identical to standard English in all respects except one. In Gendrish all English nouns are replaced by French nouns, and of course they must be correctly denoted as being either Masculine or Feminine, without exception.
    .
Today Canada is officially a bi-lingual nation and hopefully some day it will become tri-lingual. I believe adoption of the Gendrish language will do more to promote national unity than any steps taken by our federal government.
    .
Initially I will require that all federal, provincial, and municipal government agencies use Gendrish in their communication with me. I will also apply that requirement to any individuals who impose Wrong Speak rules on me. This will only extend Wrong Speak rules to the most deserving and should anyone choose to ignore this you can be very certain that my feelings will be hurt, and I will either respond appropriately, or not reply at all.
    .
I’m looking forward to my first opportunity to communicate with the federal government in Gendrish. I will post the occasional mise a jour on how that goes.
    .
HINT … The Collins online translator will be helpful to many of you as you get your Gendrish up to speed.

According to the latest polling numbers we’re becoming a fairly large fringe minority
