Justin Trudeau Is Standing On The Graves of Children To Try And Disarm Canadians

Written By Wyatt Claypool, Posted on June 2, 2022

In the aftermath of the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, a horrific crime that largely failed to be prevented due to slow police response, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is attempting to use the deaths of the children and teachers in order to disarm Canada’s firearms owners.

Trudeau at the announcement of Bill C-21 to impose a national “freeze” on the sale and importation of handguns in Canada stated his view that:

Other than using firearms for sport shooting and hunting, there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives. As we see gun violence continue to rise, it is our duty to keep taking action

This is an absurd argument seeing as Trudeau is using gun violence in the southern United States to justify stifling Canadians’ property rights and right to self-defence. His narrative also overlooks the fact that the killer in Uvalde was only stopped when an off-duty federal agent shot him with a gun he borrowed from his barber, while local police stood outside the school for an hour.

Even in the case of shootings that take place in Canada Trudeau’s logic for Bill C-21 makes no sense.

In Canada, the vast majority of criminal activity that involves firearms is related to urban gangs, and all firearms used by gangs are illegally possessed and likely smuggled in from the United States.

Even the 2020 spree shooting in Nova Scotia which Trudeau used to justify his “assault weapons ban” was carried out exclusively with illegally-obtained firearms

In reality, those Canadians who have Possession and Acquisition Licenses (PAL), especially those who have Restricted PAL licenses (RPAL allows ownership of handguns) are among the least likely to unjustly harm anyone with a gun

On top of all the evidence that shows confiscating and or banning the sale of legal firearms does not actually do much of anything to reduce gun crime, Trudeau and the Liberals clearly do not care about crime, seeing as they are trying to eliminate mandatory minimum sentences with Bill C-5.

Bill C-5, is a new piece of legislation that states:

This enactment amends the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to, among other things, repeal certain mandatory minimum penalties, allow for a greater use of conditional sentences and establish diversion measures for simple drug possession offences.

This means that while Trudeau’s Liberal government is attempting to “freeze” handgun sales and ban “assault weapons” they are also trying to remove penalties for the possession of illegal firearms, drugs, and other non-violent crimes heavily linked to violent gang activity.

Trudeau doesn’t even have the common decency to be consistent with his supposed crusade against gun violence while he is standing on the graves of the children in Uvalde to push his political goals.

Just a few days ago the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights (CCFR) released a statement in response to Justin Trudeau’s latest attack on law-abiding gun owners.

The CCFR said:

The Liberal’s focus on banning firearms from exclusively (licensed) firearm owners is divisive and unproductive. This measure divides Canadians by implying that firearm-related violence originates from licensed handgun owners, and the solution is to ban (only) their firearms. Licenced firearm owners are responsible for virtually no handgun-related violence in urban centers or rural communities. Though, this is the solution the current government is selling to the public. Criminals and smugglers will continue their activities undeterred. Chief of Police James Ramer and Acting Deputy Chief Myron Demkiw of the Toronto Police Service declared licensed gun owners as a non-issue in Toronto’s handgun problem. This is an unfair targeting of precisely the wrong people.

All the facts surrounding Trudeau and the Liberals’ push behind C-21 show they are motivated only by the opportunity to try and undermine the culture of freedom in Canada by trying to undermine firearms rights. If they actually cared about keeping Canadians safe all their efforts would be focused on reducing actual crime and fostering a societal fabric to reduce the prevalance of mental health issues.

Instead, Justin Trudeau is tastelessly using the deaths of children in Texas to attack law-abiding Canadian gun owners. It is truly sickening knowing that when Trudeau hears of a school shooting he immediately thinks of ways to use the disturbing event to fuel his political goals.

I cannot believe there are no comments, yet? I am from a farm, here in Ontario I needed the guns we had there. I still wish now old, and living in the city, that I had kept my guns. With a placed WEF puppet actually corrupted, totalitarian, coup kind of government a kleptocracy, selling out us and our country. Crime is now really scary and OUR once brave hero police are handcuffed to uphold what used to be our laws.

The Turd seems to be falling deeper into insanity with every passing day. If the uniparty gave a damn about saving some lives they might want to finally give some attention to the opioid crisis

Removing penalties for the possession of illegal firearms, drugs, and other non-violent crimes heavily linked to violent gang activity on one hand and penalizing legal , law abiding gun owners on the other. It appears JT wants to promote Lawlessness and chastise law abiding folks.

Trudeau and the Liberal party are so out of touch with reality it isn’t funny.
When called on to produce the evidence that supports their new laws they claim Parliamentary Privelege because it is too sensitive for the public which suggests they have nothing.
The police even state PAL holders are NOT the problem so apparently the "experts" they are listening to are the rabid anti gun crowd (funded BY THE GOVERNMENT) who want ALL the guns gone.
