Conservative Leader Candice Bergen Calls Out CTV Host For “Misinformation” On Freedom Convoy

In a continuing pattern with CTV News Question Period host Evan Solomon, he once again was bested live on his own television show by another Conservative Party politician.

This time CPC leader Candice Bergen pushed back on Solomon’s weak inferences that somehow Bergan and several CPC MPs have done something wrong by supporting the Freedom Convoy and meeting with organizers or influencers with the convoy.

Bergen of course does not accept the implied premise that somehow it is wrong for 20 Conservative MPs to meet with a man like James Topp, the veteran walking across Canada to protest mandates, or Tom Morazzo who hosted a couple of unofficial press conferences during the protest in Ottawa.

Solomon after Bergen politely says that the Conservative Party supports those who are against discriminatory mandates then tries to jump on by implying Marazzo was promoting the petition being circulated by Canada Unity to have the Governor-General remove Prime Minister Justin Trudeau from office.

——

It should be noted that Marazzo was not a main organizer or spokesperson for the Freedom Convoy, and there is also no evidence Marazzo or the Freedom Convoy 2022 organization supported the petition put out by Canada Unity, which was a minor tag-along organization few took very seriously.

——

Candice Bergen did not get bogged down in the false information Solomon was trying to implicate the Conservative Party with and brushed passed Solomon’s attacks by pointing out nobody was arrested for sedition.

Although a bit muddled, Bergen summed up this portion of the Question Period interview by stating that the accusations Evan Solomon was leveling were part of the “misinformation” that the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who showed up to Ottawa were tired of and that the Conservative Party support their right to be heard.

It is telling that Evan Solomon is meant to be the more “conservative” host on CTV News and yet over the past couple of months he has constantly attacked Conservative politicians for being against rights-violating COVID mandates and restrictions and supporting the Freedom Convoy protest.

Solomon seems to be less of a Conservative and more what a left-leaning legacy media organization like CTV News would want Conservatives to act like.

Weak-willed, and easily led by media smear campaigns, and absolutely convinced that the only way the Conservative Party can win is by following the led of the Liberal Party.

Solomon is a two faced Conservative and is just a pawn for CTV news.

Solomon stop pedalling the TRUDEAU NARRATIVE and report TRUE NEWS

Solomon used to be a decent journalist, and a favourite of mine every Sunday morning. Now, he is clearly compromised and a Red-Orange hack. Can’t wait to see this garbage taken to the curb with the rest of the CBC shills. What a traitor to a once great nation.
