The Great Reset theory was generally thought of a conspiracy theory involving a crisis being used by the international community to institute a new global government. Well in Canada it may be time to move this idea from the category of “conspiracy” to “public policy”.
Today Trudeau outright said that one of the upsides of Covid 19 is that it gives us a chance to “reset” to find “new economic systems” that fit with the UN’s agenda for 2030.
In typical Trudeau fashion, what he means exactly is very unclear. However, a basic analysis of his statement should conclude that this is a very radical worrying statement. Our current economic system is a free market capitalist one, and that is the official position of the Liberal party.
If Trudeau wants a new system it is very reasonable to assume that his new system will be different from the current one. Does this mean that he wants Socialism? Is he talking about a brand new system he has thought up himself, a kind of international technocratic rule?
Considering the goals of the UN’s 2030 agenda and how they strongly discourage free market development of Western energy, it is safe to assume that Trudeau’s new system will not be one that increases market freedom here in Canada.
None of this is exactly surprising coming from Trudeau as he has always been pushing for greater government intervention in the economy, wealth redistribution, and heavy emphasis on environmentalism and “sustainability” in the economy.
The UN Agenda 2030 simply gives Trudeau a great excuse to push ahead with plans he likely always wanted to implement, now with the cover of the UN as somehow giving Trudeau’s ideas political legitimacy despite being a completely useless and highly left-wing international body.
Trudeau coming out and blatantly just stating he plans on pushing for Canada to fall in line with Agenda 2030 proves in part what many more conservative Canadians have been saying about Trudeau, which is that he is quite radical when it comes to his internationalist political goals.
