Liberal MP Maryam Monsef Says Sharia Law “fascinates” her, Calls the Taliban “our brothers”

As if the Liberal could not be in a worse position this election, after a terrible first week that had the Liberals slump in the polls, tweets and footage was uncovered from the Liberals Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Maryam Monsef, that is incredibly out of step with her supposedly “feminist” worldview.

First were the tweets that showed Monsef saying that Sharia Law, the legal system followed by Islamic fundamentalists and Islamists in countries like Iran, Pakistan, and in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

Very strange for a woman, especially an MP who is the Minister of Women and Gender Equality to find Sharia Law “fascinating” as it is clearly a system in which women have no rights and are held to lopsided legal standards.

This cannot even be chalked up to Monsef’s Afghani background as the majority of Muslims who move to Canada from theocracies or countries ravaged by Islamist terrorists absolutely detest Sharia Law.

The second piece of disturbing evidence of Monsef having a corrupt worldview was a clip from Parliament quite recently where Monsef, while addressing the crisis in Afghanistan said, “I want to take this opportunity to speak to our brothers, the Taliban, we call on you to ensure the safe and secure passage of any individual in Afghanistan.”

Some Liberals may try to deflect away from this clip and claim that she is only speaking in this manner in order to better appeal to the Taliban, who are currently taking over Afghanistan, but put the clip in the context of speaking to ‘our brothers, the Nazis’ or ‘our brother in Hamas’ and there clearly is something morally corrupt about the language she is using.

Monsef tried to buy it back by claiming “Muslims refer to one another as brothers and sisters,” which just raises more questions about Monsef seeing Taliban fighters as deserving of formality and respect despite admitting they are terrorists. Again that wouldn’t fly with Christians, who also call each other brothers and sisters if they were referring to members of an extremist organization.

This isn’t even the first time a Liberal MP has been caught being warm towards Islamist extremists, as Richmond Hill MP Majid Jowhari was revealed to be an Iranian asset by a defected Iranian Intelligence agent who explained this on a Persian television channel shortly before he was assassinated in Turkey.

Daniel Bordman, writing for The National Telegraph, as an article explaining all the troubling evidence against MP Jowhari

Liberal Ramesh Sangha was also booted out of the Liberal Party for calling out former MP Navdeep Baines, who resigned before the 2021 election, for connections to Khalistani extremists, which Bordman also made a video explaining.

On top of all the other Liberal election gaffes and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s inability to get the momentum he had in 2015 back, the Liberal are only scoring goals on themselves by surrounding themselves with MPs who have sympathies, or at the least deep ignorance, that leads them to support foreign religious extremists.

It is not known at this point whether or not Trudeau will remove Monsef for this scandal she has generated or if he will simply attempt to have the Liberal party keep quiet about it and hope the scandal goes away.
