The great lie around the invocation of the Emergencies Act was totally shattered in testimony before the House of Commons finance committee. Barry MacKillop, deputy director of FINTRAC (Canada’s financial monitoring agency) testified under oath that financial support for the Freedom Convoy 2022 organization came from everyday Canadians fed up with COVID restrictions and was not terrorism or money laundering.
MacKillop at one point stated on the issue of non-Canadians funding the convoy that:
There were people around the world who were fed up with Covid and were upset and saw the demonstrations…I believe they just wanted to support the cause.
This means that FINTRAC had seen no evidence that ‘foreign interests’ were providing support to the Freedom Convoy, which the media had been trying to imply was the case over the past several weeks.

Although this might have seemed self-evident from the outset, this was actually the justification the government used to invoke the Emergencies Act. It should also be noted that during this period Trudeau and Freeland collaborated with the banks to seize the assets of peaceful protestors without a court warrant or any charges being laid. Police also had the ability to perform arbitrary arrests.
The Emergencies Act was rescinded two days after it passed the House of Commons, likely due to its heavy unpopularity politically and the fact that Canadians lost faith in the banks as a secure place to hold their money leading to a bank run costing the major banks in the stock market.
Even though all the underlying arguments against the Freedom Convoy and in favour of emergency powers have been thoroughly debunked the Liberal government is still pushing to expand its financial powers into its everyday arsenal. This is why many including the Canadian Civil Liberties Association considered the invocation of the Emergencies Act to be dangerous long-term, due to its normalization of government overreach.

The Canadian people want the liberals charged with crimes against humanity. Surely some of you must have at least looked at the Pfizer documents that have been released and realized how dangerous those jabs are and the cost is human lives. Since Justin Trudeau has a large investment in the BC company that created the lipid nano particles that allowed the jabs to work that is also a conflict of interest.
