To anyone out there still speculating, no, there is not going to be a fall election. Justin Trudeau may be incompetent at governing but he knows when he has no chance of winning an election, and right now there isn’t even a sliver of hope for the Liberals to pull out anything more than a reduced minority government at best.
Trudeau shuffling his cabinet was not about trying to be ‘election ready’ it was just trying to throw some old cabinet ministers under the bus so Trudeau and his top advisors would not have to take responsibility for their bad policy.
Trudeau is playing the long game and this cabinet shuffle is an attempt to recover his personal popularity and his party’s polling numbers ahead of an election in September 2025.
The shuffle is not about moving experienced people into positions they are suited to, as many of the choices in the shuffle make little to no sense outside of being selections based on loyalty to Trudeau.
Some of the cabinet changes:
Anand – Treasury
Blair – Defense
Fraser – Housing
Hussen – International Development
Holland – Health
Miller – ImmigrationSome of them staying put:
Freeland – Deputy PM / Finance
Guilbeault – Environment

As a sign of how unpopular Trudeau and the Liberals have become, especially over the last week that rumours of a major cabinet shuffle were spreading through the media, the Conservative Party under Pierre Poilievre has taken a 10-point lead over the Liberals.
Federal Polling:
CPC: 38% (+4)
LPC: 28% (-5)
NDP: 18% (-)
BQ: 7% (-1)
GPC: 5% (+3)
PPC: 4% (-1)

Not only does this new poll from Abacus Data show the Conservatives taking a large general lead across Canada, but the Conservatives are leading in every single age demographic. The Conservatives are even leading the Liberals with women by 4 percent, which used to be the one area the Liberals could always count on having an edge.
Now the Liberals only barely lead the Conservatives in Atlantic Canada and hold a wider lead in Quebec, although the Bloc Québécois still lead the Liberals by 2 percent in Trudeau’s home province.
Justin Trudeau’s personal approval rating has fallen from 31 percent to just 29 percent since Abacus’ last poll, which is his worst approval rating ever.
That should prove that Trudeau’s cabinet shuffle is likely not going to help recover the Liberals’ polling numbers by 2025 unless something dramatic happens. Most Canadians see Trudeau as the problem in Canada’s government, and Trudeau isn’t making any moves to rehabilitate his own image to the general public.
Conservatives should feel pretty good right now but should stay focused on contrasting as much as possible with the current government. Poilievre is doing a good job constantly touring the country and releasing videos contrasting his vision with Liberal policy failures, which is absolutely needed in order to break into the remaining few regions of Liberal strength.

Go Pierre Poilievre, don’t ever slip as low as Trudeau, say what you mean and mean what you say as that’s my reading of you, honesty got me as far as I wanted to go in life so stand your ground as a man and not like want to bees
The numbers in ON is still underreporting. Liberals will be washed out of the GTA. Barring the Toronto dumbtown there is no hope for them here.
To me what I see is the Libs/ndp coalition is 46% while the Conservatives are 38% ? Gaining but not near enough. Being an old person and following politics for years, since the first PE Trudeau, I no longer trust any political party. Since Mulroney the Lieberal/Conservative who collapsed the then Conservative Party which was rebuilt by PM Harper who I felt seemed very honest in comparison to what we had, lied and demonized by our bought out lieberal media and the best PM Canada has had in my lifetime and I could not believe Canadians wanted pot more than a great PM respected around the world in world media, most more truthful than ours which I still read most days when available.
Like in the whole west these placed UN/WEF etc country destroyers for the globalists. Corrupted Trudeau and Singh are "placed" WEF programmers, groomers, globalists, greedy, power hungry, cruel but definitely liars, whatever you want to call them but "placed", but not for Canada. Same with corrupt Biden just UN/WEF puppets doing whatever their puppet master tell them too? O’Toole seemed to be another one and so I wonder about Poilievre he seems to say mostly the right things but are they true, but we us poor honest commoners the people who worked hard for what we have have no choice but to trust Poilievre is for Canada because we know for sure all the others are not.
