It hasn’t felt like this in decades.
Something’s stirring in the American soul again. You can feel it in the air—like the smell of iron and rain after a storm. Optimism. Resolve. Patriotism without apology.
It’s been forty years since Reagan declared it was “morning in America.” As someone who came of age in Southern California during the Reagan Revolution, it feels like that same spirit of courage, clarity, and renewal is finally back.
After 30 years of deception, decline and decay, we are witnessing the rebirth of the Republic. And the man standing at the breach, torch in hand, is Donald J. Trump—our 21st-century St. George, plunging his spear into the belly of the Leviathan.
And what a beast it is: a swirling, metastatic blob of bureaucratic bloat, ideological poison, imported criminality, and entrenched corruption—working against the American people for decades.
But the tide has turned.
As Stephen Miller said this week: these past six months may be the greatest six months of any presidential term in American history.
Let’s break down why.
For decades, Americans played by the rules while their government rewrote them in secret. We paid our taxes while the elite shipped our jobs overseas. We obeyed the law while our cities were flooded with fentanyl, foreign nationals, and criminal cartels.
That era is ending.
Trump just signed the most sweeping, pro-American legislation in modern history. Dubbed “The One Big Beautiful Bill,” it’s not just a bill—it’s a declaration of war against the Uniparty, the Deep State, and the managed decline of the United States.
Here’s what it does:
This is what happens when you put America First.
Cue the sobbing from the MSNBC class and their handler donors. “But the CBO says…”
Spare us.
The CBO has never met a tax cut it didn’t misunderstand. They don’t use dynamic scoring. They ignore that tax relief—combined with fewer illegals and a liberated economy—supercharges growth.
Just look at last week’s jobs report:
📈 830,000 new jobs for American-born citizens.
📉 348,000 jobs lost by foreign-born workers.
Let that sink in.
Under Biden, every single net job went to foreign labor. Now? That trend is reversing—fast.
Free markets. Enforced laws. Aligned incentives. It’s not magic. It’s America with the brakes off.
Let’s not kid ourselves. We were this close to losing the country entirely.
The plan was simple:
It was a hostile takeover wrapped in human rights language.
But Trump broke the wheel.
We’re not out of the woods yet—but we’ve had our Lexington. Our Antietam. Our Midway.
The momentum has flipped.
If you think the invasion is over, think again.
The next front is legal loopholes: H-1B abuse and corporate treason.
Look no further than Microsoft—laying off 9,000 Americans while simultaneously applying for thousands of H-1Bs to replace them with cheaper foreign labor.
The H-1B system is corrupt beyond saving. It must be radically restructured or eliminated entirely.
If you can’t speak English or define American values after 10 years here—you don’t belong here.
Period.
Let’s be clear: we can deal with the debt.
Entitlements, Medicare, and spending can be tackled with bipartisan commissions, smart technology, and a generation of patriotic adults in Congress.
But we cannot survive a continued mass invasion.
You can’t fix an economy where native-born Americans come last in housing, healthcare, education, and jobs. You can’t unify a country that’s been Balkanized into grievance blocs.
We either enforce the rules—or we cease to be a nation.
This moment is messy. It’s painful. It will get uglier before it gets cleaner.
But this is the only path forward.
The Regime was betting we wouldn’t fight back. That we’d accept decline with a smile, a Netflix account and a weed store on every corner. That we’d be too doped up, distracted, or demoralized to resist.
They were wrong.
America has awakened.
The blob is bleeding.
The Leviathan has met its slayer.
And the Republic breathes again.
Happy Fourth of July. This Independence Day stands as the most consequential since post-VE Day 1945 nearly a century ago—a clarion call to kindred spirits across the globe that with will, focus, and unshakable faith, we need not go gentle into that good night, but rise and reclaim the light.
Robert Sterling states plainly why America is Great:
“America is bankrupt.
Our government has debt it may never repay. Our culture is decadent.
We mock God. Tempt fate. Squander our birthright.
And, yet, we are a great country.
Despite these flaws, in spite of these sins, we are indisputably the greatest country on earth. We are likely the greatest nation this world has ever seen.
America is the nation to show the world that ordinary citizens—farmers, shopkeepers, smiths, laborers, teachers, homemakers—were not just capable, but deserving, of enlightened self-rule. Our forebears fought wars, sacrificed treasure, buried their sons, to show peoples throughout the world and across the generations of time that men should govern themselves, free from the reign of kings, caesars, commissars, court mandarins.
Out of our material abundance, we are inarguably the most generous country our world has ever seen. Hundreds of thousands of our troops gave their lives to save the world from tyranny—from fascism, communism, terrorism, and countless other ideological plagues that would bind bodies and crush spirits. Billions of our dollars rebuilt Europe and Japan; trillions more, from our government treasury and our personal munificence alike, have fed, clothed, educated, and cared for the less fortunate across the globe, never asking—and, at times, never receiving—gratitude in return.
American innovation and entrepreneurial zeal have driven nearly every major technological advancement of the last 150 years. And not just with digital technology, but in the material realm, in the worlds of building, manufacturing, smelting, healing. It was our so-called robber barons who made the modern physical world possible, revolutionizing petrochemical refining and steel production to do so (ask yourself why it was that Carnegie built US Steel, not Scotland Steel).
It was America, not a European duchy or principality, where men first realized da Vinci’s dream of human flight. We are the nation that split the atom, sent men to the moon, rid the world of the scourge of Polio. We created the internet; we invented the devices on which I’m writing this and you’re reading this.
Our natural gas powers much of the free world. Our technology, from search engines to social media to large language models, powers the digital world. It’s not an exaggeration to say that any random coworking office in San Francisco is likely to drive more innovation and create more economic value this year than the sum of the entire European startup industry.
No, America isn’t perfect, nor would anyone argue it is. We have countless flaws, which might still yet bring about our downfall. Like any land and like any people, we have scars, we have sins, we carry shame.
But America is a great country. America is worth fighting for, and America is worth celebrating. I’m incredibly proud—and incredibly fortunate—to call this country my home.
God bless you. And may God bless America, today and all days.”
If you want to understand just how far we’ve come—how much ground we’ve clawed back from the abyss—go take a stroll through the Sovereign Sunday archives from the past few Independence Days (see below).
The contrast isn’t subtle. It’s civilizational.
We’re not saying Trump is perfect. He’s not. And the One Big Beautiful Bill isn’t flawless either. But perfection was never on offer. What is on offer today—finally—is a fighting chance. A 1000x improvement over the slow-motion suicide of the past four years. A real shot to save the Republic.
Cast your mind back.
Not long ago, this country was padlocked like a prison yard. The government—at the urging of “The Science™”—shut down your churches, your schools, and your small businesses. Dissent wasn’t just discouraged—it was criminalized. You were shamed for breathing outdoors, alone, unmasked. Grown adults screamed at dog-walkers because neither man nor mutt was sufficiently muzzled.
Gender lunacy reigned unchecked. A Supreme Court nominee—under oath—claimed she couldn’t define what a woman was. Because doing so might upset the robed cult of radical gender theory now embedded in every institution from Harvard to H&R Block.
Border Patrol was ordered to stand down. The gates were thrown open. Millions poured in—unchecked, unvetted, and unaccountable—while the media insisted this was compassionate, even patriotic.
And then came DEI: the state-sponsored creed that declared your child guilty at birth. An ideological virus that punished merit, criminalized excellence, and exalted identity over achievement. A system built on division, resentment, and collective guilt. A religion with no forgiveness.
All this while the Commander-in-Chief shuffled aimlessly off stages, mumbled incoherently into microphones, and required GPS to find the exit at press conferences—while the corporate press told you you were the crazy one.
And through it all, the media lied. Repeatedly. Relentlessly. Brazenly. (Okay, that part hasn’t changed.)
Now?
The tide is turning.
Trump’s back. The border is closing. The DEI machine is getting unplugged. American energy is roaring again. And the cultural spell is breaking.
Even the high priests of the Climate Cult have ditched their gospel. Remember when climate change was the existential crisis of our time? Now its loudest spokespeople are draped in keffiyehs, chanting “Globalize the Intifada,” while their once-sacred climate talking points have become little more than an afterthought—quietly abandoned for more fashionable forms of civilizational arson.
