The NDP of the 1960’s under Tommy Douglas is not the same party as Jagmeet Singh’s modern iteration. The NDP has historically been seen as a party for the Canadian worker with socailist roots. Under the leadership of Jagmeet Singh though, he has transformed the NDP into another mouthpiece for Far-left ideologies like Critical Race Theory.
The shift away from the working class towards the “woke” segment academics and their disciples might have made a bit of political sense, had the Liberals not already done the same under Trudeau.
The modern NDP is really a party that does not appeal to anyone, since it can not distinguish itself on any major issues. One of the main criticisms of Left-wing Canadian about Trudeau and his Liberals is that they are all talk and little substance, Champagne Socialists. However, nothing says Champagne socialist like Jagmeet Singh who once posed in GQ to talk about his love of fancy suits.
To compound his mistakes, Jagmeet Singh just threw away his best distinguishing factor from the Liberals: Their corruption.
This week, Jagmeet and the entire NDP lost all of their potential integrity when they unanimously voted to help cover up another one of Trudeau’s scandal’s with the WE charity. Now they can’t even market themselves as an ethical alternative to the Liberals.
The question the NDP needs to answer very soon is, who will vote for us? Obviously, not the people to the Right of centre. If someone is really passionate about the environment, they are likely to go to the Green Party. Their working class base is generally not into the Critical race theory and Intersectionality Jagmeet Singh has adopted, as it tends to be more of an upper middle class preoccupation.
That leaves Left wingers who are disaffected by Trudeau and his Liberals. The problem for the NDP here is how do they distinguish themselves from this current government?
Jameet Singh took over a party with 44 seats in federal parliament, by the end of the 2019 election the NDP were down 20 seats to 24, in 4th place behind the Bloc and the party and broke.
Needless to say that Jagmeet Singh’s tenure as leader has been a disaster for the NDP and has threatened to send the party into full irrelevancy if something doesn’t change soon.

Jagmeet Singh sold Canada out to the Liberals. The NDP are a broke, broken shadow of what they once were.
A vote for the NDP is literally a vote for the Trudeau Liberals.
Singh believes he’s relevant since he alone made Trudeau’s immediate scandal of the week go away.. Singh protected sock boy, and he knows it.
The NDP has simply become an extension of the Liberal Party. On election day this will not be easily forgiven by those who previously voted NDP. Might an alternate socialist bent party arise to offer current NDP voters an alternate? Well done Jagmeet Singh in actively destroying the party that Tommy Douglas formed so many years ago.
Australia thought they were the best place In the world. We were at least in the running with most poisonous reptiles in the world with Trudeau, Morneau , the Singh brothers and some dog biting bitches. Even Australia had the good sense to kick out the Singh brothers for Criminal activities. Maybe they are trying to cover their own butts, and not just protecting the criminal activities of the Liberal party. Canada has never been in greater need or position to declare the provinces separate republics and dissolve the Federal Government!
He is finding it harder to play the RACIST CARD, Canadians are sick and tired of this , it has been going on for almost 30 years, started on the west coast and look at BC: gangs, money laundering, real estate over valued from money laundering, corrupt politicians, opioid crisis with them coming from the same place as the money laundering. No housing affordability for lower income people all started here on the west coast. He and Trudeau have to go and never let this crap happen in what you all say is the best country in the world, LOL.
Actually Tom Mulcair destroyed the NDP assisted by the numerous Liberal Party infiltrators who began to insinuate themselves into the party way back in the early 1970s. It has only been Ed Broadbent and Jack Layton who have temporarily brought the party back to the left since Tommy Douglas retired. The rest were all Liberal Lackeys…
We need Independent candidates running in every riding through the provinces and across Canada. Party politicking has destroyed any semblance of democracy.
The NDP is an extension of the Liberal party – just look at their voting record in Parliament since the last election.

I am not an NDP at anytime but I did like Jack Layton and Grant Notly who was father of Alberta premier, Rachel Notly however I’m sure he is now rolling in his grave. Singh totally lost all credibility when he voted to support the incredibly corrupt Trudeau. That meant he goes along with corruption, and supports corruption as a means of staying in `power’ at any means and any cost. Obviously, he doesn’t have the balls to face an election. No freakin’ scruples or integrity at all.
Who really cares if they become irrelevant??? To the majority of Canadian voters,..they already are.
