While having no long-term data on the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, and already a fairly good amount of evidence that the vaccine, despite coming with only small risks, still is more likely to harm a child than COVID-19, or its variants, ever was.
The Alberta Health Service would have to know how ridiculous it is to start vaccinating children between the ages of 5-11, based on all the available data, but they are pushing forward anyway and seemingly attempting to propagandize parents into vaccinating young children who do not need to be.

In a video released by the AHS they turn getting a child vaccinated into some weird religious right-of-passage with the child in question, Owen Wilhite, saying that “it was one of the best days of my life,” while not being able to explain why other than getting vaccinated “is a good thing.”
Owen Wilhite says getting the COVID-19 vaccine was “one of the best days” of his life. The 10 year old Calgary boy was among the first 5-11 year old Albertans to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. He hopes more people get immunized so “life can go back to normal.” pic.twitter.com/sAugBoY3we

It is as if Owen was treated as an outsider in his own family because he was not vaccinated and the other members of his family were, and so despite there being nothing special about being vaccinated, and no measurable benefits for children, he is happy cause his mother won’t act as if he is some dirty unvaccinated person anymore.
It is frankly quite creepy the way AHS is marketing the vaccine to those in the age bracket of 5-11 years years old. At no point does AHS explain why those at virtually zero risk of dying from COVID-19 need to be vaccinated with a substance that is comparably worse for them.
One parent in another AHS video explains that he is worried about sending his kids to school because of COVID-19 spreading in the classroom despite studies showing kids are unlikely to spread COVID-19, especially to adults.

AHS is just pushing a narrative that if everyone gets vaccinated then everything will get back to normal. Even Owen in his video says he hopes more people get vaccinated so “life can go back to normal” which just comes across like AHS using a child to push their provably false narrative that more vaccinations equal less COVID.
Gibraltar and Vermont have proven no matter how many people in your jurisdiction get vaccinated you will always be at risk of a COVID-19 outbreak.
It is worrying to see how much COVID-19 paranoia has gotten to Alberta families from the media and the AHS bureaucrats. For almost 2 years now, AHS has been more concerned with propaganda and compliance than what the actual science says about the risk posed to different demographics by COVID-19.
It seems that the goal is to force everyone to get vaccinated just to show that the government can.

Ethics considerations on the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children 5-11 years of age
The guiding consideration for COVID-19 pediatric vaccine recommendations should be whether vaccination is in children’s best interests. Decisions regarding pediatric COVID-19 vaccination programs should not only evaluate the direct and indirect benefits and risks of vaccination in this age group, but also consider principles such as the precautionary principle, equity, trust, and proportionality. There are multiple and intersecting uncertainties at play, including those related to the impact of COVID-19 on children’s health; the long-term effectiveness of vaccination in this age group; potential safety concerns (e.g., uncertainty around the risk of myocarditis and pericarditis); and the future progression of the pandemic, including the emergence of variants of concern. While it is not justified to vaccinate children only to benefit others, the indirect, population-level benefits of vaccination can also benefit children.
The overall safety and effectiveness data are limited for children. While it is justifiable to make recommendations based on available data for children 5-11 years of age, including following the dosing intervals associated with the clinical trial data, the precautionary principle also justifies taking action under conditions of scientific uncertainty to mitigate vaccine-related risks, including through active post-market surveillance. This includes using data available from other age groups and applying vaccination principles.
Generally, a vaccination program is justified if its anticipated benefits outweigh its potential risks. Children aged 5-11 years are unlikely to be deemed capable of consenting to vaccination, and decisions related to their vaccination will likely be made by parents or guardians. Given the short-term uncertainties surrounding pediatric vaccination at this time, children and their parents or guardians should be supported and respected in their decisions regarding COVID-19 vaccinations for the child, whatever decisions they make, and should not be stigmatised for accepting, or not accepting, the vaccination offer.
I think appx 17 kids of covid in Canada and after researching the 10th kid, I stopped because they all had pre-exsising issues.
Our kids need to re-chare in nature, vit d from the sun, eat a orange a day and LAY off the processed food! If our kids aren’t vulnerable in the FIRST place, not only would covid not be a threat, neither would diabetes, cancer or any of disease. Covid isnt the problem, our lifestyle is the problem
Died* of covid
The propaganda is alive and well. So evil what they are doing.
